How egyptian walking onions walk

  • On the fifth of October I panted these egyptian walking onions. I didn’t know anything about them but have come to find out that they are perennials and they spread, or walk. This is a great resource website for them and I also found a video about them on a favorite garden blog called Skippy’s Garden. I have cut the tops off when I need green onions and they just continue to grow. I haven’t seen the bulbs at the top but the base of them seems to be multiplying. I am so glad they come back every year! I will always have onions! I guess they don’t really walk, but come really close to it.

the day I planted them in October. tiny huh?
