My perfect day

  • I am in a writing class this semester and for a recent class assignment I had to make a series of journal entries about myself. For one entry I decided to write about “my perfect day” and what it would look like. While everything doesn’t have to happen on one day (and there are many more things to add to my list), I decided if any of these things happen in a day, it would be a perfect day for me.

    1. spending time alone with my husband
    2. playing with my grandkids
    3. teaching a lesson to a class
    4. having the “light bulb” come on inside the mind of a child
    5. sitting on the beach in the sunshine
    6. working in my garden
    7. eating dinner as a family
    8. having someone clean my home
    9. building something out of wood
    10. doing anything with my kids
    11. reading a good book
    12. sitting in the river in the hill country and letting the water wash all my cares away
    13. eating something from my garden
    14. talking with my mom
    15. doing a random act of kindness
    16. reading the scriptures
    17. praying to God
    18. taking a hot bath
    19. swimming in a pool
    20. singing karaoke
    21. being with my extended family
    22. finding out I will be a grandma again
    23. sitting in front of a fire
    24. graduating from college
    25. getting hired to teach school
    26. spending time with my sisters
    27. watching a chic flic with my girlfriends
    28. giving someone homemade cinnamon rolls
    29. reminiscing with family
    30. helping someone start a garden

What would make your day perfect? Leave a comment and let me know, I would love to read what makes your day perfect!

This is a favorite place our family goes to in the summer. It is on the Guadalupe River in a little town called Hunt. Texas. A piece of heaven !

This is what #12 on my list looks like. It is a favorite place our family visits in the summer. It is on the Guadalupe River in a little town called Hunt, Texas. A piece of heaven for sure!
