Rattlesnake green beans

  • I planted rattlesnake green beans last summer and we had them for Thanksgiving. They were so tasty and the prettiest color too! I guess it doesn’t take much to impress me in the vegetable department, but I had never seen these for sale in the store. The purple stripes start to develop as the beans grow. The flowers are purple as opposed to the white flowers on the regular green beans. I took a few pictures of them growing, and I will update this post with the final stage and all the purple stripes. I can’t wait to cook and eat them!

One Response and Counting...

  • These are pretty! I can’t wait to see them final, I bet they look lovely!

We grew some red beans last year, and although in taste we prefer the green, the red ones were beautiful and a nice change to the usual bean!
