Do you know the name of this flower?

  • My picnic table planter was full of strawberries this past summer but not all of them made it through the heat. I had four plants left so I decided to fill the box with flowers until I can restock it with strawberry plants. I might get lucky and have the strawberry plants I have left spread by putting out runners. When I planted them, I threw away the tag and I would love to know what it is. I need your help so if you know, leave me a comment and tell me. It has been easy to grow this winter and the colors are beautiful! Thanks if you can help me out with the name.

These are dianthus, a member of the carnation family, along with pinks and sweet william. They are one of my favorites because they are easy to grow and come in a gazillion varieties.

  • Thank you!! I will know what to plant again for a fall flower. I look forward to having more flowers in my garden. They are easy to grow! I appreciate your help. ~Mel
